Brazilian dancers, a brass band, Santa & Sam the Dog, helped kick off the Christmas season in Wimbledon this past Thursday night. The town's annual Winter Wonderland celebration featured fireworks and a parade, as well as celebrity guests.
The parade included floats from schools and businesses - while Dancing on Ice winner Sam Attwater and TV presenter Anna Williamson, both starring in Dick Whittington at New Wimbledon Theatre next month, counted down to the night's fireworks display.
The evening also featured street entertainers, market stalls, fairground rides on the station forecourt and an appearance by AFC Wimbledon.
We ran a competition "Guess the number of balloons" in one of our company car's and it was very well received, with over 150 guesses. The winner was Lille Collins from Raynes Park who correctly guessed 97 Balloons.
The night was a great success and started the Festive Season off with a big Bang!!
